Rockefeller Capital Management's spring recruiting streak is extending through the summer. The firm has recruited a six-advisor Merrill Lynch team overseeing $2.1 billion in client assets to open a new office in Columbus, Ohio, according to Barron's.
Jones Wealth Partners includes advisors Sidney Jones, Natalie Lariccia, Quinn Jones, Liam Jones, Dominic Corso and Stefanos Newman, along with eight other team members.
Sidney Jones has spent nearly all of his more than four decades in the industry at Merrill, according to BrokerCheck. Barron's ranked him 21st among financial advisors in Ohio this year and listed him with $2.1 billion in client assets.
The team will report to Brett Thelander, northern regional president of Rockefeller Global Family Office and a former Merrill executive.
Rockefeller has built its wealth business largely by recruiting veteran teams from Merrill and other wirehouses. Several of its senior executives also came from traditional brokerage firms, including Chief Executive Greg Fleming, a former president of Morgan Stanley Wealth Management.
Founded in 2018 out of the Rockefeller family office, the company operates in 35 U.S. markets and London. It oversaw $224 billion in client assets across its family-office, investment-management and investment-banking businesses as of June 30.
